I spent ten years researching cosmetic ingredients, qualifiying as a cosmetic scientist and developing Mir because I was unable to find sufficiently gentle, healthy, effective products for myself...

Many of our customers come to us having found other products irritating or pore-clogging, despite claims to the contrary.  Natural and sensitive ranges tend to contain heavy oils such as olive, peanut, coconut etc and essential oils, which are just as irritating as chemical fragrance. Non comedogenic products are simply tested on volunteers' backs, not on blemish-prone faces. Anti ageing products are at best ineffective, at worst they accelerate ageing.

Mir has been tested on sensitive faces since 2002. We avoid over 200 adverse ingredients and all comedogenic substances. Some of our gentle botanicals, renowned for their therapeutic effects are argan, marshmallow, green tea, rosewater, aloe vera, green and white tea, allantoin, rosehip and shea.

In addition, we are the only company to ban cetyl, cetearyl and cetostearyl alcohols, substances known to produce cumulative irritation and found in all skin care products including organic ranges.

I began researching and experimenting with cosmetic ingredients in the early 1990s in order to solve my own skin care needs. I discovered it was possible to develop products which were naturally kind and felt wonderful to use.
